‘I Will act in a Malayalam film soon’: Vidya Balan

Ending the years-long wait of Malayali Audience, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan said ‘I will act in a Malayalam film soon. I will be performing a full length character’.
The actress, who has received laurels for her bold and beautiful performance in the film ‘The Dirty Picture’, also said that she has offers from filmmakers like Sathyan Anthikkad and others.
But she could not accept the offers due to the clash of dates. However, she will act a full length character in a Malayalam film sooner than later. ‘This will really be a gift for my parents’, Vidya stated.
There were reports that Vidya could be acting in the movie ‘Mathilukalkkappuram’ starred by Mammootty. But further reports said that Vidya had rejected the offer due to lack of time.
‘Mathilukalkkappuram’ is a sequel to Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s ‘Mathilukal’ . Earlier, Vidya Balan has appeared in a guest role in Santhosh Sivan’s ‘Urumi’.
