A new director is coming to the Malayalam film industry which is filled with new generation films. He started his film study through Sathyan Anthikkad’s 'Manassinakkare' and Sanal’s 'Iruvattam Manavatti' and in other Tamil movies. The debutant Raaj Prabhavathy Menon is now coming with his own film "Buddy".
Raaj Menon says that he is working with a theme that the Malayalam industry had never seen. The film will be based on 100% humor and positive story. The story is about a son who is coming from two mothers and is in search for his father. Anoop Menon is doing the role of the 40 year old father. So the director had given utmost care in doing the story and telling the story of different generations. He also says that through this movie, Babu Antony will be coming back with a very strong role. Babu Antony had taken the name of an action hero in the minds of the audience. Nivin Pauly is also playing the role of a main character in this movie.
Anoop Menon had written the songs for this film. The music is composed by Shanas who had worked with Ilayaraja. Benny Dayal had sung the songs of this movie. The editing is done by Sreekar Prasad. The idea came to the director’s mind 5 years back. So after this long period gestation, the story for the film is expected to be exceptional. Another appreciable thing about the film is the director’s care in costumes and colour schemes of the actors. Even the small objects that appear in this film.. Car, bus or table.. it has got a role in this film, says the director. We can see this in a poster of this film.
