Vazhve Mayam directed by Sethumadhavan was released in 1970. The legendry Sathyan gave a new meaning to acting by his passionate yet sensitive performance, proving that talent far outpaces glamour when it comes to character roles. Sathyan played the role of Sudhi, a suspicious husband in “Vazhve Mayam”. Lal, who shines in rough and tough character roles, has a terrific opportunity to open new avenues of acting when he takes up the role of an unattractive husband who suffers from inferiority complex. For Kavya Madhavan , after “Gaddama”, this is another great chance to cement her place as an actress. And Biju Menon gets the role of Sankaradi who bagged the best supporting actor award for this role.
The story by Pathrose Ayyaneth which carried the title “Vazhve Mayam” was made into a film of the same name. Three years ago, Ayyaneth died in an accident.
