Mohanlal- Ranjan Pramod team again !!

“Kerala Café” opened a new path in Malayalam cinema packing ten travelogues as ten short films. Now another cinema, “D Company”, consists of five films of half hour duration each directed by five different directors. The first of these five stories, “Oru Bolivian Diary 1995” has been completed in Wayanad. Screenplay by G S Anil has been made into a film by director Padmakumar. Samudrakani, Asif Ali and Naren appear in important roles.
The latest news is that Superstar Mohanlal will also appear in one of the five short films. The short film will have screenplay by Ranjan Pramod and will be directed by Joshi. The story impressed Mohanlal so much that he agreed at once to act in the movie. Incidentally, Mohanlal is currently acting in Joshi’s “Run Baby Run”. Joshi wants to complete the short film along with “Run Baby Run”.
All the five films in “D Company” have action themes. In the film directed by Shaji Kailas, Dilip is the hero and screenplay is by Rajesh Jayaram. Vinod Vijayan writes the screenplay and directs the movie with Prithwiraj in the principal role. In “Gangs of Vadakkunathan” directed by Deepan, Anoop Menon, Jayasurya, Fahad Fazil and Unni Mukundan appear in the main roles. Screenplay for the movie is by Anoop Menon.
“D Company” is produced by Vinod Vijayan and Seven Arts Mohan under the banner of Director Cuts and will be released at the time of Christmas.
