Revathi to rocks as 'Molly Aunty' !

Molly, a girl from middle class family, marries Benny and goes to US, taking long leave from the Bank where she works. She loves the American way of life and takes it up fully. She goes back home to extend her leave, but the bank gives her only two choices; either she should join back or she must resign. Reluctant to leave the job, Molly decides to come back from the US. Having been used to life in US, she starts living it up in the village where she was posted. The people of the village, leading a quiet life, are amused by Molly’s antics and her different ways like jogging in the mornings in shorts, drinking only mineral water and her general behavior. Meanwhile, Benny her husband and their two children decide to stay back in America apparently under the pretext of taking care of their two dogs. Molly is alone with her thoughts and memories of America. Molly and her mother-in-law don’t see eye to eye in many issues and adding to Molly’s frustration, mother-in-law is a great cook while Molly can hardly make a tea.
At this stage, a young man, by name Pranav, enters her life. Pranav, young enough to be her son, is a confident young man with a firm attitude and is associated with Molly in her professional life. She dislikes Pranav’s domineering behavior and they don’t get along well with each other. Stories about the two start spreading in their little village leading to many amusing moments and these are put together in “Molly Aunty Rocks”. Ranjith Sankar writes the screenplay and directs “Molly Aunty Rocks”, in which Revathy acts as Molly and Prithviraj as Pranav.
Others in the cast are Lalu Alex, Krishnakumar, Sarath Das, Mamu Koya, KPAC Lalitha and Lakshmipriya. Ranjith Sankar himself produces the movie under the banner of Dreams and Beyond. Camera is by Sujith Vasudev. Anand Madhusudan puts the tunes on lyrics created by Rafique Ahamed. Production Controller is Vinod Shoranur and distributors are August Cinema Release.
