Don2 Movie Review.

Don 2 is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don in the first half and Farhan Akhtar’s story in the second half. Remaking itself was a big risk because Amitabh Bachchan was incomparable in the original and comparisons will be made. Farhan accepted the challenge and went on to write a sequel which is the second part.
While one was absolutely clear of what the first part had to offer [since it was a remake's sequel], one is completely in the dark about what the sequel has in store. And it is this suspense of the film that lights up one’s curiosity. You cannot tell what Don's next move would be. As the reels unfurl, you realize that he's cold blooded. You can't mess with him. He's dangerous to deal with. He has an agenda. Shah Rukh looks young, mean and fit unlike in some of his other films. The film picks up pace and from a rather pedestrian beginning, gathers pace until in the second half, it is edge of the seat stuff all the way. The scenes are breathtaking, mind boggling at times, and moves at a feverish pitch. The first half was rather sluggish but unlike most Indian films which go off the track in the second half, Don surprised one and all with the mind blowing and fast paced actions.
SRK delivers an outstanding performance as the Don and does absolute justice to his role. The dialogues are masterly and the flamboyance with which SRK delivers the lines is what makes it phenomenal. The lines are cool, hip, zippy, witty and at the same time, easy on the lips. They're sure to become the new catchphrases in times to come. In fact the script is just fantastic and kudos to Farhan and his writers for the wonderful work.
Boman Irani lends the right texture to his character and comes out a winner. Priyanka Chopra looks glamorous and passie with ok performance . Nawab Shah as Jabbar is slick and more will be heard of him in future. Hrithik Roshan appears in a cameo role adds some glitter,even its an attachment item.
There are only two songs in the movie and one of them is during the end credits and unless you have patience, you are likely to miss the song. Background scenes are awesome as is cinematography. The make-ups are so professional and the characters look real and natural. Dialogues, as already stated are electrifying and Shah Rukh delivers with punch and style.This movie is going to be a big blockbuster breaking all records. A royal salute to Farhan Akthar for the effort he has put in and the risk he has taken to prove a point.
