Sevenes , A Joshiy Film written by Iqbal Kuttipuram released on September 8th with housefull welcome. It stars Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Rejath Menen , Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese,Vijeesh, Vineeth Kumar,Ameer, Rima Kallingal, Bhama and Nadiya Moidu in pivotal roles. The producers of the film is Santhosh Pavithram and Sajay Sebastian.
'Sevenes', a gang of seven football players, played by Kunchakko Boban, Asif ali, Nivin Pauly, Rejath Menen, Aju Varghese, Vijeesh and Ameer Niyaz. Master director Joshiy starts the film with a theme of football which is popular in Malabar region. But after half an hour the theme completely deviate to another route. During a football batch, due to a case of is identity, sevenes team assault an opponent player, Aravindhan(Vineeth Kumar) and he injured hardly and hospitalised. After realising the fault, Sevenes decide to help Aravindhan and family for surgery cost. And for making money, they joined with Habeeb,a broker(Maniyan Pilla Raju) for a quotation. They thought thats all little matters, but there starts the faith turn of that youngsters.
The biggest plus point of the film is cast arrangment, all had done full justice to their role and has delivered an electrifying performance. Kunchakko Boban deserves a special mention. Asif Ali and Nivin Pauly has their charming moments. Rejath Menen, Aju Varghese, Vijeesh, Vineeth Kumar, Ameer Niyaz,Midhun Ramesh are pretty charming as well. Bhama and Rima had made a brief and nothing more to do appearance in the movie. Nadiya Moidu excells as a police officer. Veteran actors like Maniyan Pilla Raju, Bindu Paniker add to the movie's strength.
Joshiy has successfully managed to build in the necessary tension and suspense around the lead character, which pushes the movie till the end.But the most credit of the film goes to Iqbal Kuttipuram who manages the script to engage the audience as a thriller entertainer. Full marks to Ajayan Vincent, the cinematographer who has composed some brilliant frames for the film. The editor Ranjan Abraham also has done his part with well done effects, colour corrected frames and sharp cuts that maintains the movie as a thriller. Songs by Bijibal is just a passie one, but BG scores adds to the tempo of the proceedings to the flick.
Over all, "Sevenes" is not a biggie one, but entertains.
