Malarvadi Arts club Review.

"Malarvadi Arts Club" directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan hits the screen with an above average welcoming. This is his first movie, in which he has delivered a example of good movie making. Even though its his first film and most of the actors in the movie are new faces, the movie is perfect entertainer without any complicated storyboard or twists.
"Malarvadi Arts Club" is a movie swings around the life of five friends in a village Malarvadi. These five energetic guys are the only members of Malarvadi Arts Club which was founded by the character done by Nedumudi Venu. These boys have a thick bonding of friendship. The story progress through the humorous situations in their life. The movie resembles the life and the real friendship of the youth. Vineeth has made a good starting in his carrier as a director.
One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, 'Malarvadi Arts Club' is a predictable story of friendship between five young men, seemingly inspired from Samuthirakkani's Tamil blockbuster 'Nadodigal' and Farhan Akhtar's 'Rock On!!'. Vineeth Sreenivasan, who makes his debut as a scenarist, lyricist and director with this youthful film, has played safe. For a debutant, he has done excellently well. There is no 'stage fright' visible in the film, though his handling of certain scenes looked clumsy. Five youngsters, who have just completed their graduation, just fritter away their time as they don't have a worthwhile goal to strive for. When they were children, tea shop owner Kumaran (Nedumudu Venu) had recognised the musical talent in them and gave them the chance to pursue their vocation. He gave them a room to practise their skills on the first floor of his tea shop as well. As they grew up to become fine young man, they converted the Children's Club into Malarvadi Arts Club.
‘Malarvadi Arts Club’ may have had its little imperfections, but it does that little magic that movies have been doing time and again to keep us going back to them - it makes you feel sad and happy, it makes you remember the people in your life who were always there, it connects to your feelings. The story of the film has music as one of its major components. But,music by Shan Rahman is only an average link for the film. Though one may expect moments of pure fun from the son of Sreenivasan, comedy is not a strong point of the movie. But there are satirical dialogues which reminds one of Vineeth's father.
Two new female faces have made a brief but important appearance in the movie. Their simple dialogues and gestures reflects the deeper meanings of life. Veteran actors like Nedumudi Venu and Jagathy Sreekumar, popular ones like Salim Kumar and Suraj Venjarummood add to the movie’s strength. The new faces were alright; their inexperience not that evident. However, while one could appreciate roles done by the characters ‘Kuttu’ and ‘Purushu’, one has reasons to expect more from the central charecters, ‘Prakash’ and ‘Santhosh’.
Maybe it is because there were no huge expectations from this debutant director that it rose so high in the scale of the first set of people that broke out of the theatre.Maybe it is because there were no huge expectations from this debutant director that it rose so high in the scale of the first set of people that broke out of the theatre.
