You must have noticed this cute little girl who keeps appearing in the commercial breaks on T.V. This little girl, Taruni, has almost monopolised the ad world, appearing in many of the latest advertisements-VIP Bags, Electro-lux and Colgate, amongst others. And now she is the rasna Girl, starring with Karishma Kapoor.
Taruni\'s mom Gita is the one who saw the potential in her to be a child model.
Taruni\'s first appearance on television was Bol Baby Bol, which used to be aired on Sunday mornings on Star Plus. This programme was based on Bill Cosby\'s Kids Say the Darndest Things.
She died (May 15,2012) in the Nepalese air crash was Tharuni Sachdev was received with shock and disbelief by the film world.
Like a meteor, she appeared and vanished all too soon leaving memories of some brilliant acting in movies as well as in promotional ads.
No one will forget her unforgettable role as the possessed child Ammu in ‘Vellinakshathram’. Her performance as the haunted yet naughty and lovable child charmed the audience and won them over. She was an LKG class student at that time.
She has also acted in the promotional ads for Colgate, Rasna and other products. Her impressive acts in these ads attracted director Vinayan and she was offered the role in ‘Vellinakshathram’.
Later she was given another important role by Vinayan in ‘Sathyam’ where she acted along with Prithviraj, Priyamani and Thilakan.
