Fahad Fazil, son of senior director Fazil was rechristened as Shannu for his debut film Kaiyethum Doorathu which came out five years ago. The movie which featured megastar Mammootty in a guest role largely went unnoticed though its songs were long cherished as immortal melodies. Fahad continued with his studies and came back to screen with a varied charisma in the short movie Mrityunjayam canned for Kerala Cafe. Fahad was applauded by most critics for the sensitive portrayal of the lead role in this short directed by Uday Ananthan. After that Fahad appeared in Pramaani. Fahad offered a very important role in which he shared much of his screen space with Mega star Mammootty, once again. Fahad is again back on track of hero,through hitmaker Lal's 2010 christmas flick Tournament.
