M. G. Sreekumar is an Indian playback singer in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi cinema.
His father, the late Malabar Gopalan Nair, was a harmonist and a classical vocalist during the post-independence era of the 50s.
He have had the privilege to sing more than 3000 songs across a number of films in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. He has the rare honour of conducting the music direction on many cassettes that include devotional ones for Ayappa, Jesus Christ, and Allah. Parallel to this, he also done the same for a number of festival-based themes including Onam. Along with these interests, he also have his own cassette company called KMG Music. At the age of 37, he was bestowed the National Award in 1990 for his work in music. This was a crest in his career as it brought to fulfillment a number of aspirations and dreams of his family. Recognition came in other ways too as he won the Kerala state awards in 1989, 90 and 91 also.
