Shaji Kailas - Biography

Shaji Kailas, is the leading Malayalam action film director. He entered the film field in 1990's with the movie called 'news', a low budget film. His film is Alibhai, in which Mohanlal is the hero, which unfortunately was a commercial disaster. Recently he is making a comeback in Tamil film industry also. He is known as one of the most prolific directors in the Malayalam film industry by making movies like Commissioner, Ekalavyan, Narasimham, Aram Thamburan, FIR. It was through his movies that Suresh Gopi earned the title of "The angry young man of Malayalam cinema". He and Suresh Gopi have given numerous hits like Commissioner, Mafia, Thalasthanam, FIR, Ekalavyan, Chintamani Kolacase, The Tiger etc. 2008 January saw the release of another Shaji Kailas-Suresh Gopi movie called "The Sound of Boot". Shaji Kailas has also given big hits with Mammootty in movies like The King, The Truth and Velyettan.
