72 Model - Movie Synopsis
Rajasenan's '72 Model' traces the conflicts between generations and introspects the value systems in place in today's world. The movie has a 72 model Ambassador as the protagonist. The car is symbolic of whatever the movie tries to convey. Rajasenan's signature style can be expected in this movie, with his unique brand of comedy, drama and romance.
'72 Model' visualizes two generation. Among the older generation, we have Vijayaraghavan as Vasutty-who is the driver of the ambassador. His simple mind still believes that only a black and yellow painted car becomes a taxi. He cannot comprehend the changes happening around him and stands for the old values. Veteran actor Madhu too has a very important role in the movie. From the younger crop of actors we have Sreejith Vijay, Govind Padmasoorya, Nazreen Nasser and debutantes Sonia Das and Bharat Chand. Among them there are three friends who start a business venture with the company name 'Trimoorthy Associates'. Into their midst enters a girl and the conflicts of the youth follow.
'72 Model' is meant to make the viewer think about and laugh at the follies, foibles and conflicts of life. Produced by J. Saratchandran Nair under the banner of Chand Creations, the movie promises a slice of life peppered with though provoking instances and humorous situations. The movie released on 26 April 2013.
